Why choose this course As corporations grow in power and influence, it’s becoming increasingly important to understand how they can engage in criminal behaviour, how best to regulate this, and what responsibilities corporations themselves have. On our MSc Criminology (Corporate Crime and Corporate Responsibility) course, we place strong emphasis on helping you develop the methodological skills to efficiently study corporate crime. This will sharpen your ability to think in a logical and informed manner about an array of problems, as well as train you to conduct effective research in this and other areas of criminology. What you will study Our MSc Criminology (Corporate Crime and Corporate Responsibility) will offer you a unique opportunity to develop a specialised understanding of corporate crime and corporate responsibility. This innovative course will provide you with a solid grounding in the core theoretical approaches to corporate crime and corporate responsibility and the significant challenges posed to business, policy makers and regulators in managing these issues. MSc conference This course includes a yearly conference, which provides an opportunity, in an informal atmosphere, for discussion concerning current research issues and debates, technologies and methods at the forefront of social research, and other related themes. The conference programme includes lectures from guest speakers and members of staff, seminars, workshops and small group discussions. You are not required to attend the conference to complete the course, but it’s strongly encouraged. Students are not directly charged for attending.

Entry requirements

A minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree in either Behavioural Science, Business, Criminology, Law, Psychology, or in a human or political science, or a recognised equivalent international qualification. We can also consider relevant work experience if you don't meet these requirements. English language requirements IELTS Academic: 7.0 overall with 6.0 in each element. If you do not currently meet the level required for your programme, we offer intensive pre-sessional English language courses, designed to take you to the level of English ability and skill required for your studies here.
