Media and communication are at the heart of our culture, society, and democracy. We consume news from TV and X (formerly Twitter) in moments of crisis, rely on the cinema and streaming for entertainment, and connect using social media. Assessment method

Teaching is via lectures, seminars and workshops, newsdays, work-based learning and placements, project work, dissertations, one-on-one and group supervision, and digital learning. We use a variety of assessments, including video shorts, podcasts, newsroom days, audience research portfolios, essays, production pitches, data analytics, presentations, and dissertation.
