Our MSc Accounting and Finance [Advanced Diploma route] is designed for future accountants who want to be a step ahead when starting a career. This approach is perfect if you already hold exemptions for ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills papers but haven’t completed the whole level. Flexible entry points allow you to join the programme at the relevant stage. Providing you have passed or hold exemptions from those ACCA papers. Successful completion of this course will earn you a Master’s degree and the status of being ACCA exam qualified, which is one of the key requirements to becoming an Affiliate member.

Computer-based exams (CBEs) and paper-based examinations (written) depending on modules studied. At Masters level, assessments also include reports, group presentations and coursework

How to apply

International applicants

If English is not your first language and you do not hold an honours degree that was delivered in English, you will be required to provide proof of your ability – for reading, writing, listening and speaking in English. The minimum entry requirements are an overall IELTS of 6.0 or equivalent, with no components lower than 5.5.


Entry requirements

Students need to be registered as an ACCA students (this is at the student’s own responsibility and cost), and either: - 120 minimum UCAS tariff points and GCSE - Minimum grade 4/C in English Language and Maths or equivalent; or - Foundations In Accountancy (FIA) qualification (to allow entry at Term 2); or - Passes/Exemptions in ACCA papers (which will allow students to enter the programme in Term 2 or 3) If you have passed or completed the ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills papers, you can enter our MSc Accounting and Finance and start at the Professional Level. If you do not meet the entry requirements, but have other qualifications or work experience, get in touch so we can review your options.
