Course summary
The Pearson BTEC Level 4 HNC in Policing will provide students with the generic knowledge, understanding and skills to enter employment within Policing, the wider public service sector or progressing onto BTEC Level 5 HND in Policing. Studying for this course will provide opportunities for students to learn a range of techniques and tools essential for successful performance in working life. It will help individuals to apply these skills at their workplace and build upon the knowledge they must have gained at the completion of the course. Those already employed will be able to use these attributes immediately at their work place and improvise their working practices. The course encompasses a wide range of the public and private sectors and develops the skills and attributes that are fundamental in any public, voluntary or private service industry. The course uses CRC's excellent links with relevant external agencies, for example, the Royal Marine Reserves, Army Reserves, Police Specials, County Councils for guest lectures and additional opportunities for students thus ensuring vocational experience is placed at the heart of this programme. During your time on the course you will have the chance to attend extra residential activities. You will be taught by highly qualified and experienced practitioners who have a wealth of experience in the public services industry.
