The TQUK Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (RQF) is a 120 credit Diploma which is regulated by Ofqual. It prepares trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts and requires observation and assessment of practice. Teaching practice is a requirement of the qualification. The qualification is suitable for teachers, trainers and tutors working in further education, adult and community learning or work based training within public, private, voluntary or community organisations. Amongst other skills, you will learn to: • Plan and develop schemes of work • Deliver learning sessions • Develop teaching and learning strategies • Assessment practices You can also obtain QTLS from this qualification via the Education and Training Foundation

You will also require the following: • GCSE Grade C English (or Level 2 equivalent) • GCSE Grade C Mathematics (or Level 2 equivalent) • A clear DBS check • A Teaching Placement where you can undertake 100 hours of teaching (you will be expected to source your own placement. Some support may be provided by the College to assist if necessary) • A specialist mentor You must be willing to undertake an initial assessment of your skills in English, mathematics and ICT and record your development needs to follow an action plan
