Our one-year PGDE courses allow you to qualify as a secondary school teacher in your specialist subject. Entry requirements
Qualification requirements
A degree (Honours or Ordinary) validated by a university in the United Kingdom or a degree of an equivalent standard from an institution outside the United Kingdom. The degree should normally contain 80 SCQF credit points relevant to the teaching qualification or qualifications being studied. Forty of the credit points must have been studied at SCQF level 8 or above. We also require SQA Higher English at Grade C or equivalent as well as SQA National 5 Mathematics or SQA National 5 Applications of Mathematics at grade C or equivalent.
