Course summary

Medical Neuroscience is the study of the brain and nervous system, examining its structure, function, chemistry, and physiology to better understand medical conditions relating to the nervous system and working as a framework for understanding human behaviour. This course will explore the theoretical and practical aspects of Medical Neuroscience using an integrated learning approach that utilises a mix of on-campus evidence-based teaching and online learning, alongside the delivery of key practical laboratory skills.


Entry requirements

he following are the entry requirements required to be offered a place on the courses: A minimum of a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in a Bioscience/Life Science subject, such as: Medical Science; Biochemistry; Genetics / Medical Genetics; Medical Pharmacology; Population Health and Medical Sciences; Biomedical science; Biology/Bioscience. Fast-track applications available for SUMS Undergraduates. Applications from affiliated subject areas (e.g. medical engineering, education) are considered on a case-by-case basis.
