Discover how to make machines interact with their environment to assist human activity and increase efficiency in a range of industries. Learn to design and implement robotic products and systems that have the potential to revolutionise our everyday lives and working practices. As part of your course, you’ll:
- Study the theoretical principles behind robotics and automation and have the opportunity to put these principles into practice
- Work with basic robots
- Spend time in the lab learning simple programming and systems
- Develop knowledge to understand more complex and sophisticated systems used in industry
- Build your own robots in two separate engineering design projects
- Refine your skills in the designing, building and testing of electronic and electrical systems
- Build circuits to establish how they work
