Course summary
Our PhD/MPhil Clinical Psychology programme enables you to undertake a research project that will improve understanding of Clinical Psychology. Research within clinical psychology spans the spectrum of key research themes integral to improving our understanding of psychological disorders. These include:
- the integration of psychological explanation to derive understanding and intervention;
- interpersonal and family environments;
- cognition;
- Practical Issues in Psychological Research;
- Advanced General Methods in Psychology;
- Structured Approaches to Qualitative Data in Psychology;
- Philosophical and Conceptual Issues in Psychology;
- Using Advanced Statistics in Psychology;
Entry requirements
We require applicants to hold, or be about to obtain, an Upper Second class Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a related subject area for entry to a PhD programme. A Lower Second class Honours degree may be considered if applicants also hold a Master's degree with a Merit classification.
