Course summary

The Foundation Degree in Equine Performance with Business combines knowledge from the wide range of areas within the industry, allowing students to develop the practical skills required at this level. It also offers specific scientific modules, plus modules covering the fundamentals of business management, in order to give students a well-rounded programme of study assessed in a structured yet vocational manner.


Year 1: Practical Skills for the Equine Industry Equine Behaviour and Comparative Psychology Research Skills Equine Exercise Physiology and Training the Sports Horse Equine Anatomy and Physiology Equestrian Sports and Competition Analysis Year 2: Practical Management of the Performance Horse Research Methods on Topical Issues Evidence-based Rehabilitation and Therapy Plan Industry Experience Small Business Enterprise Equine Event Management and Marketing. You will also have access to free British Horse Society examination training and riding lessons, which will increase employability and enhance equitation skills. *Modules are subject to change
