Course summary
Learn how to excel in an international business environment. Develop your management and intercultural skills, get work experience and become fluent in Spanish. Gain specialised knowledge of the international business environment and the global economy. Learn the fundamentals of management while studying business in a foreign language. We teach all units covering language, history, politics and culture in Spanish. This includes some units that focus on the business context. This combination of language and business will help you understand the professional environment in Spanish-speaking countries, preparing you for your time abroad Two leading departments deliver this course: the School of Management and the Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies. In Year 1, you will study economics, finance and organisational behaviour, and also learn about the history and culture of Spanish-speaking countries. In Year 2, you will prepare for your year abroad by learning more about working and doing business in Spanish. You will spend up to 12 months in a Spanish-speaking country in Year 3 and you will have the flexibility to choose a work placement, International Academic Exchange or a combination of both. In your final year, you will specialise by choosing from a range of management units. Optional units in Spanish will further develop your linguistic expertise and cultural knowledge.
