It requires leaders to have an appetite for problems and paradoxes that cannot yet be solved, and the need for organisations to be adaptable and innovative is essential. For organisations to survive and thrive in dynamic contexts, leaders and senior executives need to be ready to engage with the full spectrum of change strategies, from incremental change to organisational transformation, as well as the development of new cultures of agility and responsiveness. The Executive Diploma in Strategic Leadership & Change directly links leadership with strategy and innovation, and the personal with the professional, to offer immediate impact and long term development for individuals and organisations. You will develop your strategic leadership abilities to enable you to lead strategic growth, innovation and transform your organisation during periods of change and uncertainty to give your organisation the strategic edge. As a participant on the Strategic Leadership & Change Executive Diploma, you will receive three high level 1-2-1 Executive coaching sessions during your time on the programme. As a Senior Leader, if you are already receiving Executive Coaching, we will liaise with your Coach to complement the existing sessions you are receiving. *The Warwick Executive Diploma in Strategic Leadership & Change combines and replaces The Warwick Executive Diploma in Strategic Leadership and The Warwick Executive Diploma in Organisational Change.

Developing Executive Leadership Do you want to develop your understanding of leadership and gain tools to become an effective leader? In an ever-changing world that presents new challenges, such as the cost-of-living crisis, the pandemic and war, it is essential for leaders to be prepared and forward-thinking. The Strategic Mindset of Leadership Strategic Leadership is future-focused. It requires leaders to have an appetite for paradoxes and problems that cannot yet be solved, and the need for organisations to be adaptable and innovative is essential. Does this sound like something your organisation has mastered, or could you help implement some progressive change to give your organisation the strategic edge? Leading an Agile and Resilient Organisation Building an agile and resilient organisation enables you to overcome obstacles, by designing systems and processes that allow you to move quickly. In this module, you will explore why agility in organisations is essential for success in an increasingly complex, volatile and uncertain world. Leading People Through Change and Disruption To implement and adapt to change it is essential, for all the people and stakeholders within an organisation, to have a clear understanding and appreciation of the changes happening around them. In this module, you will explore the people side of organisational change and the implications for change leaders.


Entry requirements

The Warwick Executive Diplomas are designed for experienced and senior managers, as well as those in leadership roles. Participants who will gain most from the programme may be facing strategic challenges within their organisation which need outside inputs and new thinking, and/or who wish to address areas within their own development to help them get to the next level of performance. Applications are encouraged from wide a cross-section of industry sectors, both commercial and non-profit/public sector, and business functions. **Specific requirements** Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate that their experience and responsibilities will allow them to take an active part in discussions and benefit fully from the programme. Successful applicants are expected to have at least 5 years of management experience that reflects the contribution and impact they have made as a leader in their career so far. Final admission decisions will be made by the Programme Director and Admissions Committee. English language: All of our programmes are delivered in English so, if English is not your first language, you have not graduated from an English speaking university or worked in an English speaking environment for at least two years, you must demonstrate a minimum overall standard a recognised test of English. Requirements are shown below. The certificate will be required as evidence.
