This course covers integrated working, evidence-based practice, and professional development, along with key biological, social, and psychological concepts in healthcare. This course will provide opportunities:

  • to progress to the next level of study: 1 year to convert your Certificate into a Diploma in Higher Education—Care practices
  • to gain employment in the Voluntary Sector, Domiciliary Care, Residential Care, Assisted Independent Living, Probationary work and Police work.

Modules

The course content, includes: Communication and Interpersonal Interaction, Person centred care, Anatomy and Physiology, Care Practice and Current Issues in Health and Social Care.

Assessment method

You will learn via taught lessons / practical classes / self-directed study/ seminars/ blended learning the underpinning concepts of care practice essential to the course. Assessment takes place via continual assessment / coursework / written assignments / examinations. You will be supporting in meeting the demands of assessed work by module tutors, personal tutor, H.E. study coach and wider student support services.
