The foundation year course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to continue onto your Honours degree. Successful completion of the year allows you to progress straight onto Level 4 of this course. Our BSc (Hons) Biochemistry course provides an excellent foundation in a discipline that is at the centre of almost all biological sciences. You will learn about the important biological and chemical processes that underpin life from subjects such as biochemistry, microbiology, cell biology and molecular biology. You will also gain insight into key essential processes and pathways within the cell, like gene regulation, enzyme activity, metabolism and more.
