Course summary
This degree in Corporate Finance is designed for ambitious students with interest in the area of corporate finance and strong quantitative background. You aim to work as a finance professional for an investment bank, a consulting firm, or an international firm. You are interested in questions such as:

Modules
On the Corporate Finance MSc, you will learn to:
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of corporate finance issues, such as project valuation, optimal firm financing and evaluating firm performance, as well as of financial markets, institutions and instruments
- Understand and evaluate current issues in corporate finance, including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and events in debt markets
- Formulate finance decisions aimed at delivering returns to shareholders and superior Return on Investment
- Analyse factors affecting the global flows of finance, e.g. in and out of Asian markets
Assessment method
We review all our courses regularly to keep them up-to-date on issues of both theory and practice. To satisfy the requirements of the degree course students must complete:
- nine core courses (15 credits each)
- five electives (10 credits each)
- three electives (10 credits each) and an Applied Research Project (20 credits)
- one elective (10 credits) and a Business Research Project (40 credits)
Entry requirements
A UK upper second class degree or above, or the equivalent from an overseas institution. Some level of previous study or evidence of skills in finance or quantitative methods is essential.
