With a long history of teaching in Equine Science and outstanding teaching facilities for this specialist subject area, this degree, developed by Aberystwyth University, will allow you to explore horse reproduction including breeding technologies, its nutrition, welfare and care for maximum performance and its management in relation to exercise physiology and health. This two-year vocational qualification is perfect for anyone wishing to gain a valuable qualification and experience in the equine industry. The FdSc Equine Studies course includes practical instruction of the care and daily management of the horse and has a strong industry and business flavour. A number of science modules will ease you into BSc equine courses if you wish to progress. Students who successfully complete the Foundation Degree are automatically offered entry into the 2nd year of a suitable degree programme at Aberystwyth University. The University will also offer students who demonstrate consistently good performance entry into the final year of a suitable degree programme.
