Course summary

This programme emphasises those aspects of economics which relate to the practical application of Economics today in policy making, management and firm behaviour and consumer decisions. This programme aims to provide students with the ability to apply economic principles and models to a wide range of issues as well as understanding the larger driving forces which shape economic and public policy. You will develop problem solving skills and become more adept in numeracy, IT and the use of statistical methods.

English language requirements for international applicants The minimum requirement for this course is Academic IELTS 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5. Trinity ISE: Pass at level III also meets this requirement for Tier 4 visa purposes. Ulster recognises a number of other English language tests and comparable IELTS equivalent scores.
