Course summary

Taught jointly between King’s and Shakespeare’s Globe, our unique MA course offers you the opportunity to study the plays of Shakespeare and his contemporaries. You will be able to draw on expertise at both King’s and Shakespeare’s Globe, studying Shakespeare close to the types of theatres for which he wrote and just a stone’s throw from where his plays were originally performed. At the Globe you will learn about early modern playhouses, audiences, performance practices and get toplay on the stage and at King’s you will cover early modern drama and other literary genres, examining Shakespeare alongside his contemporaries. Entry requirements

Bachelor's degree with 2:1 honours in English, Drama or an equivalent subject. In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme.
