TEF Silver
University of Brighton has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
Criminology and sociology is the ideal degree if you seek to understand the changing world we live in. It takes a stimulating approach to the two subjects that share many theories and concepts. Informed by both established and radical new perspectives, the course encourages you to consider the impacts of social inequality and social change taking place both locally and globally and its causes and consequences. You’ll benefit from a placement in the local community and from visiting guest speakers who share their knowledge on a wide range of topics. Through option modules you can tailor the course to your interests and you can also choose to go on an international exchange in Spain or Sweden.

Additional fee information
The fees listed here are for full-time courses beginning in the academic year 2020–21.
Further tuition fees are payable for each subsequent year of study and are subject to an annual increase of no more than 5% or RPI (whichever is the greater). The annual increase for UK/EU students, who are subject to regulated fees, will increase no more than the statutory maximum fee.
The tuition fee you have to pay depends on a number of factors including the kind of course you take, and whether you study full-time or part-time. If you are studying part-time you will normally be charged on a pro rata basis depending on the number of modules you take. If your course includes a sandwich year option you will pay a reduced fee during this year; £1,290 for home students and £2,076 for international students.
