Course summary
TEF Silver
University of Chester has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
Studying Spanish and Portuguese offers a wealth of opportunities and possibilities. As well as providing a wide range of communication skills in two major global languages, this course gives students cultural and intercultural knowledge and understanding, not only about Spain and Portugal in Europe, but the 20 Latin American countries where these languages are spoken, including increasingly important economic powers such as Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. You will have the opportunity to spend up to 18 months in up to three different countries, studying and/or working as an English-language assistant. The time will be divided between the two languages you will be studying. The year abroad benefits from an 85% reduction in the normal tuition fee.
