The pathway will enable students to develop graduate, lifelong learning skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and the use of evidence based practice to enhance current professional and academic skills; this in turn will develop transferable skills which will enhance their employability. The pathway has been designed and based on the Royal College of Emergency Care competency document.

Assessment method

The module runs over 2 semesters with 14 taught days (1 day a week). The student must have the support of their Manager and be permitted to practice under supervision in an appropriate area as an Emergency Practitioner.
