TEF Bronze
University Centre Bishop Burton has opted into the TEF and received a Bronze award.
This programme provides a comprehensive practical and theoretical understanding of animal behaviour. Students are equipped with an understanding of companion and wild animal behaviour which can be applied to both domestic and commercial environments. What You Study: animal behaviour and physiology; health and nutrition; research methods; human and animal psychology; animal welfare and legislation; domestic and exotic species’ behaviour; training working animals. A final year ‘top up’ is also available for applicants that have a HND or Foundation Degree in an appropriate subject (select year 3 as point of entry).

Entry requirements
Qualification requirements
Students with an appropriate HNC can apply for direct entry to Year 2. Students with an appropriate Level 5 qualification and animal training experience can apply for direct entry to Year 3. Life and/or experience of non-traditional students will be taken into account when considering applications. The successful completion of an entry task will be required when considering applications without the required formal entry qualifications.

English language requirements
If first language is not English, or a Tier 4 student visa to study is required and GCSE grade C/4 English or equivalent is not held, English language proficiency level such as International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 6.0 overall (with a minimum 5.5 in each skill) will need evidencing.
