Course summary

Throughout this course you will learn about the entire food chain from plough to plate; whilst developing the knowledge and understanding required for a senior management role within the agricultural, agri-business or agri-food industries, in both a UK and global context. You will gain skills which give you the ability to tackle problems by collecting, analysing and evaluating information and using it to make sound decisions. Gaining a good appreciation of the environment, moral, ethical and legal issues relevant to the agricultural industry today will be evident throughout your learning as well as acquiring an insight into how agriculture interrelates with society.

Entry requirements for advanced entry (i.e. into Year 2 and beyond)

Applicants will be considered for Year 2 entry with a relevant HNC (with 15 credits). Applicants will be considered for Year 3 entry with a relevant HND or Foundation Degree. Please contact the Admissions Team to discuss your options further - [email protected]

English language requirements

Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not been educated previously in the English language must provide evidence of their English language ability to ensure they can cope with the demands of a course taught and assessed in English. Further information about the English Language tests that we currently accept as proof of English Language ability can be viewed on our website. English language tests should be no more than two years old on the start date of your chosen course.

Additional fee information

Scottish students can apply to the Students Award Agency for Scotland (SAAS) to have tuition fees paid by the Scottish government. Students from the rest of the UK can apply for financial assistance, including a loan to cover the full cost of the tuition fees, from the Student Loan Company.
