Who is this programme for? This degree is for dentists wishing to train as specialists in Orthodontics. The DClinDent in Orthodontics is a three-year, full-time programme which enables you to develop, consolidate and enhance your range of academic and clinical competencies. The programme will enable independent and reflective practice at the standard of a specialist in orthodontics. Specialist Advisory Committee This programme is approved by the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) as part of the training programme in orthodontics. This applies to UK trainees in possession of a National Training Number (NTN) awarded by the Postgraduate Dental Dean for Scotland. Students from outside of the UK and Ireland are not normally given a National Training Number. Membership Exam in Orthodontics In undertaking this DClinDent programme in orthodontics, you are eligible to enter for the Membership Examination in Orthodontics (MOrth) of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
