Course summary

Manufacturing is at the centre of engineering, as everything in our day-to-day lives needs to be created and produced. Our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Management MSc delivers a unique balance between manufacturing processes and management. This will prepare you for a successful career as a technologist or manager who can meet the engineering, business and societal challenges of the rapidly changing global manufacturing markets and industries. The programme is directly informed by our world-leading manufacturing research, which is driven by close collaborations with industry. You will benefit from our industry informed modules allowing you to deliver high-quality research with industrial impact, benefiting your future endeavours and our reputation as a world-leading research institution. You will have access to high-tech laboratories, world-leading researchers, computer labs and some of the latest industry standard software. During the summer, you may be given the exciting opportunity of a micro-placement project. These placements are arranged in collaboration with our existing industrial partners and alumni contacts and aim to provide you with hands-on practical experience, working on appealing projects relevant to your MSc.


Entry requirements

A 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) in a relevant science, technology, engineering or maths discipline. Applicants with qualifications slightly below this level, alternative qualifications and/or professional experience will also be considered.
