Course summary

This HND course can be studied in various ways to suit your existing experience and any work or family commitments:

  • As a top-up to a previously attained HNC for 1 day per week over 2 years.
  • As a fast track top-up to a previously attained HNC for 2 days per week over 1 year.
  • Starting 'from scratch' on 1 day per week over 4 years (incorporating the HNC).
  • Starting 'from scratch' on 2 days per week over 2 years (incorporating the HNC).
The HND has three pathways to choose from: Construction Management, Architectural Technology and Civil Engineering. Each of these pathways is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to keep up with the demands of employers in a constantly changing environment. This course is delivered using our newly built enhanced digital learning centre, virtual reality resources and 3D printer. In choosing the HND qualification, you will develop an understanding of the ways in which technology is transforming the construction industry. You will also learn how to adapt and use these technologies for careers in construction management, civil engineering and architectural technology.
