Course summary

This innovative Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship has been developed in partnership with industry employers, giving you the unique opportunity to earn whilst you train, and graduate with both a BSc degree and four years of work experience. Data analysts are highly skilled professionals who collect, organise and study data. Day to day, they are typically involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data across the network infrastructure. They report their findings and make recommendations that are key to improving business performance. During this 4 year programme, you’ll be taught by world-renowned academic experts in state-of-the-art facilities and undertake project work in every year which will equip you with the core technical and interpersonal skills required succeed in the sector. You’ll study one semester as a full-time student on campus at Queen Mary and the rest of the time will be spent undertaking work-based learning with one of our partner employers:

Assessment method

Assessment typically includes a combination of examination and coursework. There are practical assignments for laboratory-based modules, and exercise sheets or written assignments for more theoretical modules.

Fees for the course are covered by your employer and the ESFA (Education and Skills Funding Agency). Please note you will not be eligible for tuition fee or maintenance loans from the Student Loan Company. To be eligible for funding, you must meet the funding eligibility criteria as defined on the UK Government website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apprenticeship-funding-rules QMUL and your employer will assess your eligibility to claim funding. To apply you must be: - a citizen of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) - or have lived in the UK or EEA for the past three consecutive years - or a non-EEA citizen with permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes), and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship.

After you apply Your UCAS form will be reviewed by a member of staff. Following this review, we may also invite you to complete some online assessments which will include an online interview and to attend an Assessment Centre. Online interview The online interview is run by PwC and can be taken at a time and place to suit you, as long as this is in sufficient time before the Assessment Centre (we’ll advise you of the deadlines). You will have the opportunity to practice questions and find out more about PwC through completing this exercise. Assessment Centre The Assessment Centres are held in February and March online. The Assessment Centre involves a group assessment exercise and is conducted by PwC. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions so that you can get a good feel for what the programme is about.
