Course summary

*Subject to validation The HND (Engineering) programme is ideal for students wishing to work within the engineering industry. Students firstly study a HNC in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and then have the option to progress to the HND. The HND comprises of seven units which involves studying four mandatory core subjects and a further three specialist subjects. The units have been chosen to meet a broad range of local industry needs. Assessments are mainly by assignment with some testing in the analytical subjects. The course provides high quality industry related training for those who wish to pursue a career in the engineering sector.

Applicants are required to have: HNC Qualification in a relevant Engineering Pathway Completion of RQF HNC in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering Plus GCSE English – Grade C/4 or above GCSE Maths – Grade C/4 or above EU and International Applicants IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Equivalent English language qualifications are acceptable for applicants not requiring a Tier 4 student visa
