The emphasis is placed more on exercise science to promote wellness as opposed to looking more generically and traditional health or fitness perspectives. It should appeal to those people who may already hold a range of fitness or exercise qualifications, and may work in this industry in some capacity; and equally to people who may have studied sport or physical activity related courses and have an interest in this field of work. Key features The key focus of the course is to develop your knowledge and skills across the exercise and wellness sector to include: • the underpinning knowledge of the body from an exercise perspective • developing functional knowledge of physical activity and nutrition • anatomy and physiology • exercise psychology • corporate wellness • community engagement and the wellness industry • business management and research skills The course aims to provide learning opportunities to develop your abilities to apply and reflect on the provision of exercise and wellness management practices whilst providing opportunities for you to advance your knowledge of the theories that underpin your subject
