Course summary

Promote and support a healthy body through physical movements. You'll experience hands-on placements in the NHS, sports clubs, schools and private clinics. What is physiotherapy? Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession which involves working with people to improve their own health and wellbeing. Learn to use physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical function on this Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) approved programme. You can explore what you'll do as a physiotherapist, where you could work, expected salaries and more. As part of this course, you’ll:

  • Develop collaborative working skills and put them into practice working with patients, their carers, and other health professionals
  • Be encouraged to reflect on your practice to aid your professional development
  • Experience placements within a variety of health and social care settings, including the NHS, sports clubs, schools, and private clinics in specialist areas – cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurology, and paediatrics

Plus, you'll benefit from guest speakers across a range of clinical specialities, who'll support your lectures and practical sessions. Register with the HCPC after you graduate On successful completion of this course, you'll be eligible to apply to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and become recognised as a physiotherapist. The HCPC have certain standards all registrants must meet to legally practice under a protected profession title. Course requirements Occupational Health clearance and compliance with standard NHS immunisations requirements are mandatory and essential for placement attendance.
