University Centre Bishop Burton has opted into the TEF and received a Bronze award.
The aim of the FdA Fashion & Clothing Design programme is to meet the needs of students wanting to pursue a career in fashion. Its emphasis is on supporting the development of inspired, inventive and innovative designers with the breadth and depth of knowledge and practical skills to succeed in this challenging and competitive area. Students will develop creative design ability and technical skills utilising a range of vocationally relevant visual, written and verbal techniques to communicate and present their ideas including areas such as illustration and drawing, visual research, 2D and 3D experimentation, technical skills and professional attitudes, via creative experimentation, skills development, work experience and portfolio development. There is a strong emphasis on developing the student as an individual, who will be able to work towards a defined career or further higher education pathway by the end of the programme.

English language requirements
