Course summary

The academic staff in this area can offer you research supervision in most areas of study related to the Hebrew Bible. The research interests of staff and graduate students cover:

  • pentateuchal and historical studies
  • poetry and prophecy
  • biblical theology and ethics
  • Hebrew language
  • Septuagint and targumic studies
  • the Dead Sea Scrolls in their Hellenistic context

At the School of Divinity, you will join a community of around 150 research students, drawn from around the world, and from a variety of religious and non-religious backgrounds. You will study in a stimulating environment.
