Course summary

The Management School is amongst an elite group of business schools to hold the gold standard triple accreditation. Our BA Accounting and Finance programme has a theoretical and practice-led approach covering the core aspects of accounting and finance including financial accounting, management accounting and finance. It also covers specialist areas such auditing, taxation and strategy to a level equivalent to the ICAEW professional stage. Choosing this highly accredited course can give you an advantage in a range of careers including: accountancy – both in practice and in industry, investment banking, asset management and insurance in organisations such as Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, KPMG, NHS, PwC, Siemens as well as in the public sector. Some students also pursue further postgraduate study. With close industry links, excellent teaching, and quality content the programme is accredited by the professional accountancy bodies and receives the maximum number of exemptions available to any university from the: • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) • Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) • Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) • Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) • Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS) This programme is available with either a Year in China or a Year Abroad. The Year in China offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLU's BA China Studies degree classes. XJTLU is a fully English-speaking university, located in Suzhou. The Year Abroad offers students the opportunity to spend a full academic year studying at one of our partner universities around the world, following a mixture of culture and/or discipline-related modules. If you wish to study this programme with a Year in China or a Year Abroad you will have the opportunity to apply after you arrive at Liverpool.

Tuition fees for Home undergraduates If this is your first degree and you are a Home student applying for entry in 2024, you do not have to pay your fees upfront. Instead, you can take out a tuition fee loan which is paid straight to the University. This is available to most students, no matter what their household income. For UK students applying for 2024 entry the Tuition Fees are £9,250. Check tuition fees for our undergraduate degrees.
