  • Study in bite-sized chunks at the University’s Preston campus. Flexible, modular study enables you to progress at your own pace, up to 4 years part-time.

  • Convert previous Continuing Professional Development (CPD) study into academic credits towards your postgraduate award. Supplement those credits by choosing from a wide range of modules and build a course that’s suited to your needs and those of your organisation.
Further information Certified CPD or previous study can be converted into academic credits. The School recognises: 1. Successful achievement of a relevant University of Central Lancashire CPD programme or short course 2. Successful achievement of a recognised partner’s CPD programme or short course 3. Demonstration of achievement of a relevant level of functioning or attainment within your career that could be considered an equivalent level to the proposed postgraduate study 4. Professional and Personal Development in General Practice (PED) course with Health Education England North West You will be asked to show how your prior learning relates to improvement in your practice and you’ll undergo a formative and summative assessment by the course team.
  • Any prior learning can be considered from the last 10 years but must be relevant to your current role.
  • The maximum credit for prior learning is two thirds of the total credit required for the award (120 credits).
  • You will discuss your prior learning with our career coach and map out your options for progression to the relevant postgraduate award.

Entry requirements

British honours degree (2:2 class or above) or equivalent, in a relevant subject; Non-standard applicants are welcomed. Recognition of Prior and Work-Based Learning may be available; Sufficient competency in English language (IELTS Level 6.5 or equivalent)
