Course summary

The Graduate Diploma Childhood Practice is a part-time course for individuals who already hold a relevant practitioner qualification and are working - or aspire to work - as lead practitioners. Our course is professionally recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). This programme is ideally suited for SSSC registered practitioners who are interested in leadership and management. The course is delivered in hybrid format in evenings, with some on-campus sessions and is focusing on personal and professional development in childhood practice, leadership and management, and research.

Entry requirements

All applicants must demonstrate the following: A relevant practitioner qualification (see here) A relevant degree (for example, a degree in psychology, sociology, early years education or a related area) Two years post-qualifying work experience in the sector Current employment in a relevant setting of more than 16 hours a week Workplace support for their studies
