Course summary
The course is for you if you would like to work as a technician and take further steps to becoming an engineer in mechanical engineering design, manufacture, and maintenance. The course has been developed in consultation with local industry, and combines theoretical engineering with the focus being the applications of putting the theory into practice.

Entry requirements
Qualification requirements
You must have achieved an appropriate technician or craft qualification at Level 3 Diploma or similar, and have a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills. The most common eligible qualifications include A Levels, BTEC Extended Diplomas/National Diplomas and Access to HE Diplomas. You must also pass a diagnostic maths test. Non-standard applicants for both full and part time modes of study will be considered based on individual merit and industrial experience relevant to the programme.
