"People do not buy goods and services. They buy relations, stories and magic" – Seth Godin, author and former dot com business executive. Marketing is at the heart of all business. In essence it should be about designing products and services which meet needs and wants, based on good quality research and market testing. How these goods and services are transferred to the market is becoming more complex, where pricing, advertising and the development of an attractive brand is ever more challenging in a global world shaped by rapid change. To do these things efficiently and effectively, leadership and a capacity to act and think strategically is required. Our MBA with Marketing specialism course is designed to develop these skills and prepare you to meet these challenges. MBA with Marketing specialism will help to develop your pre-existing skills, experience or interest in marketing and management, covering topics such as ethical practice and cultural sensitivity. On your journey to become effective managers and organisational leaders, you will have the opportunity gain an in-depth understanding of, not only how a modern enterprise creates value, but how value can be sustained. The master’s stage of the course requires participants to take these principles into specific practice contexts in order to initiate change. The emphasis throughout the course is on the application of knowledge and your development as a reflective practitioner. The aim of the course is to enhance your global perspective and emphasise the importance to managerial practice of intercultural awareness.

Formative assessment can include activities such as: peer reviews, quizzes, self-assessment. CORE assessment: This CAN be credit-bearing (though it is not always, please check your module guide carefully). CORE assessments are pass / fail only. They can include activities such as: short tests, exams, reports. You are usually given four attempts at any CORE assessment - please check your module guide carefully. Applied CORE assessment: This will ALWAYS be credit-bearing and therefore essential to passing your module. Applied CORE assessments are scored out of 100.
