Course summary

Enhance your professional skills and learn how nurses work and care for patients in the UK, with our International Nursing Studies degree. If you’re already a qualified, experienced nurse, our BSc (Hons) International Nursing Studies degree will help you learn more about nursing in the UK. Study alongside colleagues from different countries and develop your skills in caring for patients with complex needs. You’ll be taught by expert nurses and health professionals who currently work in British healthcare services, including the National Health Service (NHS). Learn through a combination of lectures, seminars and in our purpose-built nursing labs, which simulate many aspects of UK hospital wards. Here at ARU, our nursing tutors will help you evaluate and develop your skills, and build on your theoretical knowledge of nursing. On the practical side, you’ll use our state-of-the-art clinical skills laboratories that will give you an unparalleled opportunity to fine-tune your nursing skills. Our labs were designed in collaboration with the NHS. They simulate the experience of working in a UK hospital, and give you the chance to use sophisticated healthcare equipment. As part of our nursing community in Chelmsford, you’ll learn through lectures, seminars and ‘action learning’ sets – where you’ll reflect with other students on the actions you’ve taken. Our student nurses really benefit from discussing and sharing their experiences in this way.
