The Strategic Human Resource Management course aims to develop Human Resource (HR) professionals to take a strategic approach in championing the people agenda, future-proof the workforce, develop inclusive cultures and an engaging employee experience journey while creating high-performing work environments where employees flourish in their work and wellbeing. Modules

Modules include understanding marketing and competitors, understanding customers, growth and innovation, value propositions, customer relationships and delivery channels, marketing communications, accounting and finance, evaluating marketing effectiveness, people management and leadership, leading with impact: organisational behaviour and enterprise performance and risk management.

Assessment method

Taught modules (65%) are assessed by a combination of written assessments that relate to a wide-range of marketing and leadership themes, projects, presentations and the occasional exam. The independent work-based project (35%) is assessed by individual coursework.


Entry requirements

Candidates normally possess a first or second class UK honours degree (or an international equivalent). Alternatively we will consider a professional qualification (such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA) together with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification work experience. Other relevant qualifications, together with significant experience, may also be considered. Professional experience and personal qualities are equally important to us and each application is considered on its individual merit.
