Course summary
This course will provide you with knowledge and understanding of the core issues and principles in Health and Social Care. It will build on your existing knowledge and experience whilst developing and expanding your skills and practice. You will gain the skills required for work in the health and social care sector through a total of 225 hours of mandatory work experience. You will also have access to our brand-new Health and Digital Centre which opened in January 2023. This boasts industry standard facilities including a simulated hospital ward and replicated domestic home.

You will cover a range of modules: • Law, Policy and Ethical Practice in Health and Social Care • Demonstrating Professional Principles and Values in Health and Social Care Practice • Supporting the Individual Journey through Integrated Health and Social Care • Fundamentals of Evidence-based Practice(Pearson-set Project) • Effective Reporting and Record-keeping in Health and Social Care Services • Supporting Individuals with Specific Needs • Sociological and Psychological Perspectives on Health

Assignments are designed to allow you to achieve a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade for the unit through the stated assessment tasks or activities.
