The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree. Where the Foundation Year is taught at University Campus Aylesbury Vale all subsequent years will be taught at High Wycombe Campus (https://bucks.ac.uk/high-wycombe-campus) Today, all organisations operate with a potential information security risk and will need to implement strategies to protect their IT systems and data. The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security course will provide you with a fundamental understanding of how to protect those organisations, networks, IT systems and individuals against cyber-attacks and cyber threats. During your studies you will learn the underpinning technical areas of software and networked systems as well as develop specialist skills in network security and ethical hacking. You will learn about cryptography and how to use a wide range of cyber security tools and techniques. Qualified cyber security professionals are in demand by business, government and law enforcement agencies across the globe. As a graduating student from the course you will have gained the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to quickly adopt the emerging technologies and concepts in this fast changing field, alongside the professional and business skills, techniques and ways of thinking needed to be able to align technical security requirements with business needs.
