Course summary

We offer PhD and MPhil supervision in Physics and Astronomy in areas compatible with the research interests of our academic staff including:

  • Earth Observation Science
  • Planetary Science
  • Astrophysics
  • Space Projects and Instrumentation

Modules

Research interests include: space and ionospheric physics; theoretical astrophysics; X-ray astronomy; solid- and liquid-state physics; quantum molecular theory; theoretical solid-state and surface physics; nuclear electronics; space plasma physics; earth observation science.


Entry requirements

You must hold a UK undergraduate (Bachelors) degree with at least first class or upper second class honours or an equivalent qualification from a recognised overseas institution.
