Course summary

On this Policing degree you will gain extensive knowledge of theory, policy and contexts. It is designed for current and former police officers, and anyone wishing to gain a recognised qualification in policing. Work experience is a core component of the course and our partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) provides valuable placement opportunities, as well as extra learning materials. Currently, this is the only Policing degree in the country closely mapped to the Policing Education Qualification Framework (PEQF), which covers all key areas of modern policing. Please note that attaining this degree does not award warranted officer status. This course includes a foundation year.
