Business and Supply Chain Management at Keele is one of the few programmes in the UK with a specific focus on supply chain management. You will study this important element of modern business operations, combining this with the exploration of related themes to develop your business acumen and knowledge. You will advance your understanding of business in a global context, expanding your insight into supply chain management. Core modules during your first year of study will support the development of your essential business knowledge. You will study business related disciplines including accounting where you will explore principles such as producing and maintaining balance sheets and budgeting. We give you an introduction to the dynamic world of marketing and the programme will enhance your understanding of the global business environment. You will also be taught about quantitative techniques, the principles of macroeconomics, and gain a solid grounding in the fundamentals of human resource management. Throughout the Business and Supply Chain Management programme you will be able to select from a range of optional modules which enable you to tailor your degree to your personal interests and career aspirations. At this stage of the degree, you will be able to choose from topics such as managing in changing society, international business, and analysing consumer behaviour.
