This foundation year programme will prepare you for your future business studies. Modules
Your foundation year will give you a grounding in business management, preparing you for your future studies. In your first year, you will gain an understanding of how businesses operate and develop essential management skills through real-world projects and simulations. In the second year, you will begin to specialise, focusing on supply chain and project management while shaping your learning through core and optional modules. After your second year, you have the option to do a placement year, taking a year in industry to learn in a real-life environment whilst earning a salary and paying no tuition fees. By the final year, you are becoming a professional. You will be practising more advanced skills, with optional modules allowing you to hone in on your interests. / Foundation Year: Foundations of Business, Sustainable Business Development, Digital Business, Academic and Personal Skills, Business Project, Employability for Life. / Year 1: Understanding Organisations, Business Finance in Practice, The Future of Business, Digital and Business Skills, Data Analysis for Business, Creative Problem Solving and Decision Making. / Year 2: Professional Development, Operations Management, Project Management, International Logistics and Distribution Management, Live Project for Business. Assessment method
We use different assessment techniques in different modules and try to ensure all assessments reflect the types of work you will do after graduating. This may include portfolio work, multiple choice questions, group reports and problem-solving questions.
