The BSc (Hons) Sports, Coaching and Development programme is aimed at candidates wanting to pursue a career within the sports coaching, physical education or sports development fields. The teaching and learning through theory and practical based sessions will emphasise the application of theory to practice. The purpose of this programme will be to equip students with the underpinning knowledge and skills to coach within multi-skill, multi-sport, educational, sport-specific or sport development environments. Qualification requirements
UCAS Tariff - 104 points
A level - A* - E
Applicants will have a minimum of 104 UCAS points, which may be from qualifications such as A Levels, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas, Access to HE Diplomas and City and Guilds Advanced Technical Diplomas, amongst others. You will also require GCSE English Language at grade C / 4 or above, or an equivalent qualification and a relevant academic reference.
English language requirements
If first language is not English, or a Tier 4 student visa to study is required and GCSE grade C/4 English or equivalent is not held, English language proficiency level such as International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 6.0 overall (with a minimum 5.5 in each skill) will need evidencing.
