Aim: Develop knowledge, understanding and skills relating to teaching, learning and assessment in education and training. It includes understanding the role and responsibilities of a teacher in education and training. Key subject areas within the discipline will includes, developing teaching, learning and assessment in education and training, wider professional practice in development in education and training, theories, principles and modules in education and training. The learning outcomes cuts across understanding the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, investigate practice in own area of specialism, be able to use initial and diagnostic assessment to agree individual learning goals with learners, be able to deliver inclusive teaching and learning, be able to assess learning in education and training, be able to implement expectations of the minimum core in planning, delivering and assessing inclusive teaching and learning and much more. Structure: Christ the Redeemer’s undergraduate programmes combines academic study and practice. It is designed to enable students work with other students and to take responsibilities for your learning. The Diploma in Education and Training programme involves a range of learning, teaching and assessment aimed to put students at the centre of your learning so that they are engaged in all aspect of assessment and learning. is an ‘in service’ qualification designed for those who work or want to work as teachers/trainers in the* further education and skills sector*. It is an Education and Training course which requires a teaching and training practice where student will carry out research into professionalism in education and training policies and consider their impact on their role and accountability as a teacher and trainer. Content: The programme is based around core aspects of Education and training including teaching, learning and assessment. It reviews the effectiveness of own inclusive practise, identify own strength and areas for improvement in relation to inclusive practice and plan opportunity to improve own skills in inclusive practice. It is an Education and Training course which requires a teaching and training practice where student will carry out research into professionalism in education and training policies and consider their impact on their role and accountability as a teacher and trainer. Skills Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be able to take analytical and practical approach to all aspect of planning, delivering and assessing inclusive teaching and learning. Whilst doing this, students will embed theories and principles in education and training and demonstrate them in their practice.
