Based within our Westminster Business School, our research programme in Finance aims to encourage the development of finance and financial services research at the highest level. Research areas of interest include: pensions; international financial markets; fixed income markets; financial econometrics; accounting; comparative international accounting; social and environmental accounting; accounting in less developed countries; and various aspects of business law and governance.
How to apply
Applicants should have a minimum classification of 2.1 in their first degree or equivalent and preferably a master's degree (or masters degree pending). Applicants whose first degree has not been studied in English should have IELTS 6.5 overall and 6.0 in all elements. Applicants need to submit a research proposal of 2,000–3,500 words. It should include a title of proposed research, identify discipline and formulate research questions clearly. It should also include proposed research methodology and plan of work and time schedule. References are normally required and if not provided with your application will be requested at a later date.
