Looking to join a graduate training scheme or land a graduate job in Human Resources? Our ‘Business With’ courses develop broad business skills and also offer a specialist pathway that starts after the first year, giving you an extra edge in employability. BA (Hons) Business with Human Resource Management includes modules that cover the development of human resources (HR), law for HR, cross-cultural HR, and compensation and diversity. HR is a core business enabler for all kinds of organisations. HR professionals are involved in recruitment, talent management, employee relations, salaries and incentives. They also develop their organisations’ cultures and capabilities in response to new challenges. The course is covered by the prestigious AACSB accreditation for Newcastle Business School, which was ‘Business School of the Year’ at the Times Higher Education Awards 2015. We’re also undergoing a full re-accreditation process with EPAS who require some of the highest levels of relevance, rigour and internationalisation. Between your second and final years you can choose to undertake a work placement, study abroad or a hybrid of the two and in contrast to BA (Hons) Human Resource Management, it’s not compulsory. All of the Business with courses are 3-year degrees with an optional 4th year between the second and final taught years. Students who do not take this option will be expected to undertake a final year UG Consultancy Project rather than the dissertation. In doing this, they are then graduating having followed a “real—world” experience as part of their undergraduate studies.
