Course summary
This course is a combined HNC and HND, studied over 3 years. This course is ideal if you are already working in a technical role within the engineering industry and are looking to obtain a vocational qualification at a higher level to support your position or to progress within your organisation. If you are a trainee or an apprentice and have already completed your Level 3 BTEC then this nationally recognised qualification will equip you with the knowledge and understanding you need to develop your career in mechanical and manufacturing engineering at a higher level. On successful completion of the HND you will be able to top up the qualification at the College. Alternatively you could top up the qualification at university or enter employment. To complete this course you need:

Qualification requirements
To complete this course you need: To have successfully completed the HNC. -Two A-Levels at grade 9-4/grace A*-C in mathematics and physics OR -Mechanical Engineering BTEC Level 3 Diploma (120 credits) at Merit or above, including further Maths OR -An equivalent Level 3 qualification (120 credits) in a related engineering discipline (at Merit or above), including further Maths If you do not fully meet the above criteria it may be possible to gain entry to the course subject to a successful interview where you will be considered individually on your relevant engineering / industrial experience and engineering knowledge. At interview you will need to demonstrate a sound understanding if mathematics and mechanical engineering principles.
